About

Beauty Fall is a free solo exhibition by deaf British Mauritian artist Sabrina Tirvengadum, turning the gallery into a satirical beauty salon. It features AI-generated beauty ads, a face-morphing mirror and installations exposing colonial influences on algorithmic beauty standards. Drawing on her childhood wish to be pretty and archival family photographs, including 3D-printed masks of her grandparents, it explores how Western and social media beauty ideals distort identity and self-esteem. Visitors are invited to question how beauty is measured, confront their own reflections and reclaim traits that beauty culture seeks to erase.
