Soft Sell opens at hARTslane with an opening evening, a multidisciplinary exhibition by Kaitlin O'Connor. It explores how advertising, consumer culture and entertainment shape our identities, aspirations and ideas of empowerment. Three interconnected projects — No Body's Dead Yet, Perpetual Kittenhood and Neon Bodega Cats — combine illustration, moving image, installation and interactive objects to examine the blurring boundaries between personal identity and commercial culture.
