Belshazzar's Feast: Walton's choral drama with four choirs.
- Smith Square Hall
- from £15
About
A choral concert evening dedicated to the music of William Walton, centred on his monumental 'Belshazzar's Feast'. It is performed by the Cantus Ensemble, celebrating its 15th anniversary, together with the Hampstead Chamber Choir marking 50 years, the Covent Garden Chorus and the Orchestra of the City, conducted by Dominic Brennan with baritone Jerome Knox. The programme pairs the work's blazing choral drama of judgement with Walton's Orb and Sceptre March, A Litany and the Coronation Te Deum, lasting one hour and 45 minutes including an interval.
