Raga & Rhythm: evening of Indian classical dance.

Raga & Rhythm is an evening celebrating Indian classical and semi-classical dance, bringing Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi and semi-classical dance together on a single stage. It is presented by the Suchismita Ganguly Dance Company, whose choreographer-performer Suchismita Ganguly trained under Guru Thankamani Kutty in India and has danced professionally for over twenty years. The evening moves from darkness towards light and from individual movement to collective celebration, opening with a fusion of Bharatanatyam and Kathak and closing with a powerful ensemble finale. Young students share the stage with adult dancers and professional artists, making the show a celebration of connection between generations, tradition and the present, artist and audience.
