About

"Brock's Mill" is a stage play about Bernard, a retired animator who revisits the past in his abandoned home workshop, in a poignant exploration of the corrosive power of nostalgia, the ownership of memory, and the importance of being present. It is a moving family drama and love letter to the art of stop-motion film-making, written by Stewart Pringle and directed by former National Theatre Artistic Director Rufus Norris. The production features breath-taking animation by award-winning stop-motion animator Astrid Goldsmith.
