Deeper Cuts is a regular live night celebrating jazz-ish music – artists giving it a twist, fusing it with other styles and pushing things forward – held at the warm, welcoming Paper Dress Vintage in Hackney. This edition, part of its 2nd year at the EFG London Jazz Festival, is headlined by São Paulo drummer and producer Naná Rizinni. Her new album EPIBLAST puts the Brazilian beat-master in a progressive electronic jazz setting, performed raw and rhythmic with drums, sax and synths. She plays as a trio with co-writer, producer and saxophonist Mark Cake and modular synthesist and keys player Lazy H, joined on the lineup by curator and DJ Karl Bos, with a second artist still to be announced.
