About
Fidelio Hot Club, a UK gypsy jazz quartet, celebrate the release of their debut EP with a special performance as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival. The band brings together violinist and vocalist Ray Rafols, guitarists Sol Grimshaw and Cornelius Corkery, and double bassist Toby Yapp from the London jazz scene. Expect the swing and virtuosity of 1930s Hot Club jazz, with music by Django Reinhardt alongside original compositions and inventive arrangements of Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla and David Bowie. Rooted in tradition but never constrained by it, the evening promises dazzling musicianship and plenty of surprises.
