About
A special display at the National Army Museum marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War. It highlights the unheard stories of South Asian communities during the war and its immediate aftermath. As men from India were deployed overseas, women took up roles to support the war effort, and after the 1947 Partition people from South Asia were recruited to help rebuild Britain. It was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
