An exhibition of new paintings by Hernan Bas, presented by the Victoria Miro Gallery in London. Titled TIME TO SHINE! (the salesmen), the works are set in places of retail – shops, stands, markets and malls – where minor characters take on leading dramatic roles. Several paintings grew out of the artist's childhood memories and touch on nostalgia, humour and loss, including the demise of mall culture and the one-on-one performance of the salesman.
