About
'How to become a fascist (a practical manual)' (VOILA! Festival) is a dark Brechtian cabaret with live music, original songs and razor-sharp humour, inspired by Michela Murgia's political satire 'Istruzioni per diventare fascisti'. Created by Margot Theatre and directed by Valentina Cognatti, it is performed by Perla Ambrosini and Andrea Marano with an original score by Marco Quircio. Disguised as a motivational seminar, it uses irony, paradox and dark humour to show how authoritarianism takes root through persuasion rather than force, as the audience recognises the mechanisms that shape consensus and manufacture enemies. The 60-minute show, recommended for ages 14 and over, ends with the Fascistometer, a final test you may not want to pass.
