About

A jazz double bill at World Heart Beat Embassy Gardens, part of the EFG London Jazz Festival. Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Jean Toussaint, best known for his years with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, leads his working band JT5 through original compositions and uniquely rearranged standards in a swinging, soulful, bluesy and funky contemporary jazz style. Opening the evening is the Nnamdi Nnachi-Cole Quartet, led by a young pianist trained at the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy and counted among the newest emerging stars of the London jazz scene, with Ellis Gates on drums, Hass Richards on upright bass and Kassa Green Jaksci on alto saxophone.
