About
A solo recital titled 'Over My Head' by countertenor John Holiday, accompanied by pianist Kevin Miller. Holiday is described as one of the finest countertenors of his generation, and the programme is based on his first full-length solo album of the same name. It spans spirituals, standards and song cycles by Robert Leigh Morris, H Leslie Adams and Theodore Morrison, plus first-ever recordings of songs by Carlos Simon, with several pieces arranged by Holiday himself. The concert runs approximately one hour without an interval and forms part of the Pentatone 25th Anniversary Festival.
