Still Life
Collective, Kennington
About
"Still Life" is an exhibition bringing together works from different stages of Danlu Zheng's practice. Across moving image, costume, photography and material experimentation, it examines relationships between the body, materiality and the environment, and processes of transformation in which states of completion, stability or disappearance give way to further possibilities. The title evokes a tension between stasis and change, considering regeneration as a process through which matter acquires new configurations and meanings. Danlu Zheng is a London-based multidisciplinary artist and a graduate of Central Saint Martins, whose practice explores human existence, the natural environment and material transformation.
