Landmarks: Unmissable Ashton - Royal Ballet and Opera is a mixed ballet programme of three milestone works created over three decades. It celebrates Frederick Ashton, founder choreographer of The Royal Ballet and one of the most influential dance figures of the 20th century, who developed the distinctive 'English style' known for its wit, charm and elegance. The programme brings together Les Rendezvous (1933), the 'pure dance' celebration Symphonic Variations (1946) and the pastoral Daphnis and Chloe (1951), inspired by Ravel's orchestral work. Starring dancers include Marianela Nuñez, Vadim Muntagirov, Francesca Hayward and Matthew Ball.
