About

Off-Key is a coming-of-age drama about Black girlhood, ambition and friendship, set at a Birmingham grammar school where best friends Sabrin and Ruqqiyah are free-falling to their futures. It is staged by Side eYe, the award-winning collective behind Dugsi Dayz (2022) and Desperate Times (2023), which stages stories by Black Muslim women and their allies. Written by Fatima Ali Omar and directed by Neetu Singh, it features Salma Muse as Ruqqaiyah and Mannan Guled as Sabrin. Note this performance takes place at Canada Water Theatre, not at Theatre Peckham.
