About

Plenty is a new production of David Hare's award-winning play about post-war disillusionment, staging the story of Susan Traherne, a former secret agent who struggles to adjust to a mundane life after the Second World War. Emilia Clarke, known for Game of Thrones, makes her National Theatre debut in the leading role, while former National Theatre Director Richard Eyre directs, marking a celebrated reunion between Eyre and Hare. The play is staged ahead of its 50th anniversary and Hare's 80th birthday, in a powerful revival that feels deeply resonant with modern Britain.
