About

Songs from the Sea is an evening of seafaring songs and shanty-based folk, taking listeners from the chilly windswept shores of the UK to the tropical lagoons of South America. The Salts are a folk band of five seasoned musicians performing original material alongside unique interpretations of traditional sea shanties. The line-up features Lee Collinson on guitar, banjo and vocals, Jeremy Hart on guitar and vocals, Brian Bull on mandolin and vocals, Richard Nash on drums and vocals, and Tim Cantrell on double bass and vocals. Drawing from their vastly different musical backgrounds, they deliver full-on harmonies, great musicianship and a splash of humour.
