About

Tate Britain Commission 2026: Zineb Sedira: When Words Fall Silent, Cinema Speaks is a major new site-specific installation filling the Duveen Galleries at Tate Britain. British-French-Algerian artist Zineb Sedira, who draws on family archives and the history of cinema, explores memory, migration and trauma, bridging the political and the poetic. Her monumental and intimate work, her largest UK commission to date, invites audiences to consider the emotional and geographical dimensions of displacement.
