'Wicker Sour' cocktails, straw man making + Wicker
The Garden Cinema, Parker Street 39-41, WC2B 5PQ London, Holborn
£18.50
About
A members' evening pairing a themed 'Wicker Sour' cocktail hour with straw man making and a screening of Wicker, followed by the film itself in the screen. The event comes from The Garden Cinema's own bar and members' programme, with the film made by co-directors Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson and starring Olivia Colman and Alexander Skarsgård. It tells of a ridiculed fisherwoman in a village by the sea who commissions a husband made of wicker, a romance that sparks outrage, jealousy and chaos in her conservative town. Tickets include the cocktail, the straw man activity and an allocated seat, restricted to two per member.
