About
A multi-day Buddhist retreat intensive titled 'Ango Intensive – Buddha Nature: Revealing the Jewel Within', combining study and daily training such as meditation, mindfulness and liturgy. It is led by Geoffrey Shugen Arnold, Roshi, Head of the Mountains and Rivers Order and Abbot of Zen Mountain Monastery. Participants study two texts on buddha nature, the teaching that all living beings carry the essential mind of an enlightened being: the opening of Master Dogen's Buddha Nature fascicle from the Shobogenzo and the first chapter of the 4th-century Indian Uttaratantra. Through discussion and practice, the intensive aims to move beyond talk and enter into a direct experience of one's true self.
