About
A drop-in program in the museum's Carnegie Library where visitors can take a close look at the tapestry Carnegie's Dream. It celebrates Cooper Hewitt's 50th anniversary and the 1978 Embellishments Series, in which 150 painters, graphic artists, designers, and public personalities made fanciful modifications of a line drawing of the Carnegie Mansion's south facade. Susan Brown, Associate Curator of Textiles, and Mae Colburn, a weaver and writer who works closely with Hernmarck, meet visitors by the fireplace. Alexandra Hodkowski and Michelle Millar Fisher provide a warm welcome.
