About
Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is a rock musical staged at the Lab Theatre of the College of Staten Island. It was written by Alex Timbers with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman and is directed by Lee Papa. The show reinvents the life of Andrew Jackson, the seventh president, following his journey from a childhood on the wild frontier to his controversial reign in the White House. With outrageous comedy, anarchic theatricality and an infectious rock score, it traces his rise from military strategist to populist rabble-rouser to president, taking on the Founding Fathers and meeting his wife Rachel along the way.
