About
New York's 53rd Annual Village Halloween Parade, an annual holiday parade on the night of Halloween in Greenwich Village and a wildly creative public participatory event. The 2026 theme is Body & Soul, led by the Firehorse, a spectacular new puppet performance commissioned by puppeteer Basil Twist, choreographed by Julie Atlaz Mus and produced by Barbara Busackino of Tandem Otter Productions. The parade starts at Canal St. and 6th Avenue and goes up 6th Avenue to 15th Street. It features hundreds of giant puppets, more than 50 bands, dancers of all styles, artists, and thousands of New Yorkers in costumes of their own creation.
