About

Revolutionary Ink Book Launch is a reception marking the final weeks of the exhibition The Promise of Liberty: Words That Shaped a Nation, featuring the New York launch of Mark J. Noonan's book Revolutionary Ink: New York Printers and the Promise of Democracy, 1693–1804. The book talk brings the stories of New York's printers to life, showing how they spread Enlightenment ideals, championed freedom of the press, and shaped political debates of the 18th century, with the exhibition open before and after the presentation. A reception with light refreshments follows. It is organized by the South Street Seaport Museum.
