About
A hands-on seed cleaning workshop at the NYC Parks Plant Ecology Center and Nursery (PECAN). Hosted by Partnerships Academy, it shows how the Seed Increase Program collects seeds from native plants for restoration projects across the five boroughs. PECAN staff demonstrate seed cleaning techniques and equipment, discuss collection, drying, testing, and storage practices, and participants then harvest and clean seeds themselves, with bagels and coffee provided.
