About

Spiderwoman's Global Indigenous Theatre Festival is a series of performances and community events presented at La MaMa, running from October 30 to November 7, 2026. It is staged by Spiderwoman Theater, La MaMa's longtime resident company and a foundational force in Native American and feminist performance, marking its 50th anniversary. The festival brings together Indigenous theatre makers from Aotearoa (New Zealand), Minneapolis, Australia, and Canada, with shows including KŌPŪ, Invisible Shadows, Maayuma li Mubirr (Healing Scars), and All My R(el)ations. The program also features Spiderwoman Workshops and closes with a Spiderwoman Theater Gala celebrating 50 years, created by Murielle Borst-Tarrant.
