About
A screening of the 1964 Hammer horror film "The Gorgon," directed by Terence Fisher. Drawing on Greek mythology, it follows the fatal gaze of the Gorgon, Megaera, who turns residents of a German village around 1910 into stone. Professor Meister (Christopher Lee) must overcome the interference of Dr. Namaroff (Peter Cushing) to track down the culprit, a she-devil played by Prudence Hyman.

Critics
6.4Good
Critics praise the direction, suspenseful atmosphere, and strong performances from the leads, especially the female lead. They fault the dated, unconvincing monster effects, a forced romantic subplot, and a predictable, over-complicated script.
