The Naomi Rosenblum ICP Talks Photographer Lecture Series with Ishiuchi Miyako and Katayama Mari
About
The Naomi Rosenblum ICP Talks Photographer Lecture Series brings a talk by photographers Ishiuchi Miyako and Katayama Mari, moderated by curator Pauline Vermare. The two artists discuss the wide-ranging scope of their careers, including their work on view in the exhibition "I'm So Happy You Are Here: Japanese Women Photographers from the 1950s to Now". Ishiuchi Miyako is a Japanese photographer whose honors include the Kimura Ihei Memorial Photographic Award and the Hasselblad Award, while Katayama Mari is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice begins with hand-sewn fabric objects featured in her photography, video, and activist projects. The program is offered both in person at ICP on NYC's Lower East Side and online.
