About
A performance lecture opening the exhibition PROPS from Barakei: Eikoh Hosoe and Jason Wee. Artist Jason Wee explores the history of photographer Eikoh Hosoe and Yukio Mishima's collaboration on the photo series Ordeal by Roses. Through a visual presentation, he considers how props, bodies, and performance were used to construct and complicate Mishima's self-made mythology, reflecting on masculinity, desire, and imperial imagination.
