About

An evening of five new short plays staged on the eve of the midterms, followed by a panel of organizers, resource-sharing, and community-building in the venue's cocktail lounge. The Women+ on the Edge of Democracy project, initiated and commissioned by the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in partnership with the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, invited 36 women and TGNC playwrights to write short works on the state of democracy in America from national and international perspectives, and what history, global context, or futurism can offer in this pivotal moment.
