"Bauen für die Macht" is an exhibition in the Pavillon Le Corbusier, a museum building run by the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich. It looks at the close and at times unsettling relationship between architects and rulers: monumental buildings make power visible, and in return architects win major commissions and fame. The focus is on the designs and urban visions of Le Corbusier (1887–1965), who sought large commissions all his life and often kept little critical distance from fascism. Guided tours, a digital audio guide and a hands-on table for making your own designs accompany it.
