FORTEPIANO FESTIVAL Delphine von Schauroth - Chopins vergessene Zeitgenossin

A piano concert as part of the Fortepiano Festival at Ev.-ref. Kirche Bühl. Pianist Els Biesemans devotes a solo recital on a Grand Piano Erard from around 1860 to Delphine von Schauroth, the virtuoso and composer who was once mentioned in the same breath as Clara Schumann or Franz Liszt. The programme is framed by works of her contemporaries Felix Mendelssohn and Frédéric Chopin, giving von Schauroth the place she deserves in classical Romanticism. An introduction to the concert takes place at 18:30, followed by an Apéro after the concert.
