FORTEPIANO FESTIVAL FLÜGELSCHLÄGE - Die Komponistin Delphine von Schauroth

A concert evening within the FLÜGELSCHLÄGE festival, introduced by Dr. Ingrid Bodsch. She recounts facts and anecdotes about the composer and pianist Delphine von Schauroth (1813–1887). The child prodigy was named as a virtuoso alongside Clara Schumann, Franz Liszt and Felix Mendelssohn. The music historian and head of the Schumann Network thus sheds light on a highly gifted, forgotten contemporary of Chopin.
