Fortepiano Festival «Flügelschläge»

The Fortepiano Festival "Flügelschläge" in Zurich is devoted entirely to Frédéric Chopin and his artistic circle. It brings together two fortepiano recitals, four short recitals in the "Café-Salon Chopin," and a chamber music finale. A concert introduction to the forgotten contemporary Delphine von Schauroth, a film evening, and an exhibition in the choir room of the Bühlkirche also trace Chopin's eventful life. Featured are star pianist Abdel Rahman El Bacha, fortepiano specialists Costantino Mastroprimiano, Maria Gabryś-Heyke, Pau Fernández Benlloch, and Hanna Horobets, the Elsewhere ensemble, and music historian Dr. Ingrid Bodsch together with Els Biesemans.
