About
Adrian Pöllinger gives a guest lecture as part of the lecture series «Future Monuments», hosted by the Chair of Construction Heritage and Preservation of Monuments. His subject is the actual assembly processes of prefabricated lightweight structures and the actors who are often overlooked in them. Using the example of Jean Prouvé's workshops in Maxéville and a rural school from the 1950s, he shows what formative role erectors on the building site could play and what conflicts between industrial construction methods and local craftsmanship were fought out.
