About
The traditional Grünau Räbeliechtli parade leads lanterns carved from turnips from the school along the Limmat to the old village square Meierwiese, where the school classes sing around the fire bowl. It is organised by the neighbourhood centre GZ Grünau (organiser: Tom Hofmann) together with the lower-grade classes of Schule Grünau and the Quartierverein Grünau. Lower-grade schoolchildren meet in their classrooms, everyone else on the school square. Afterwards the GZ offers grilled sausages, soup and homemade mulled wine, plus a snack and punch for children.
