About

The Räbeliechtli-Umzug is a star-shaped procession made up of four parades through the residential areas of the Friesenberg, ending at Friesenbergplatz. Children with their own carved turnip lanterns join the parades together with their parents, families and friends. The event is run by the Familienheim-Genossenschaft Zürich (FGZ), which offers every child up to and including 5th grade a turnip to carve plus a voucher for food. At Friesenbergplatz there is a festival with grill, soup, drinks and music.
