Sofalesung Liliia Zhernov

A Sofalesung (sofa reading) with the author Liliia Zhernov from her debut novel «Butter Me Up! Lull mich ein!». The reading takes place as part of the book festival «Zürich liest» in cooperation with GZ Loogarten, moderated by Arzije Asani. The novel tells of a consuming love that cannot be lived: the narrator, a mother and emigrant, falls in love with a woman on an endless train journey, and the passion tips into obsession. Liliia Zhernov was born in Kyiv and has lived in Zurich since 2022; she is a grantee of the Weiterschreiben Schweiz programme.
