About

A film evening at the Lavatersaal dedicated to the composer Frédéric Chopin. It opens with the experimental short film 'The Art of Chopin' by E. Sombart & V. Bossel (Switzerland 2016). This is followed by the award-winning documentary of the same name by the French director G. Caillat (2010), a tribute to Chopin's musical genius. Festival director Els Biesemans gives an introduction to Chopin's elegantly revolutionary piano technique.
