"Ach so! Neue Musik einfach verstehen" is a playful family concert for curious explorers aged five and up. Behind it are Marieke Rügert, who handles concept and moderation, and Richard Putz on percussion. It is about the role of chance in contemporary music, inspired by John Cage, who used coin tosses to determine tones, rhythms and pauses. At its centre is his work "Variations I" from 1958 – the audience, the musicians and chance itself jointly create a new, one-of-a-kind piece of music.
