About
A reading and conversation with political scientist and activist Arne Semsrott about his new book »Gegenmacht: Die Zivilgesellschaft schlägt zurück«, moderated by Ingo Arend. Semsrott, who runs the transparency portal FragDenStaat, uses concrete examples – from strategic legal battles and strikes to referendums – to show how civil society can move from defence to offence. His bestseller »Machtübernahme« described a gloomy scenario of a right-wing conservative turnaround that, according to the book, has already become bitter reality. The event takes place at the Hansabibliothek as part of the project OFFEN FÜR KULTUR.
