About
A symphony concert by the Berliner Philharmoniker in the Großer Saal of the Philharmonie. Conductor Zubin Mehta and violinist Pinchas Zukerman, both associated with the orchestra for decades, perform Bruch's First Violin Concerto. It is paired with Dvořák's Seventh Symphony, whose dark, melancholic and combative character was unlike any of his earlier symphonies, while Mozart's lively overture to Le nozze di Figaro opens the evening. A pre-concert introduction with Susanne Stähr is offered.
