Block 10
About
BLOCK 10 is a historical drama about Block 10 at Auschwitz, where from 1943 the SS imprisoned Jewish women for medical experiments. Marcus O. Rosenmüller directs from a screenplay by Dr. Alice Brauner, with Axel Prahl, Christian Berkel and Bibiana Beglau among the cast. At its centre is the Jewish prisoner doctor Dr. Maximilian Samuel, forced to assist in the procedures to save his daughter from death. Told from the women's perspective, the film depicts violence, survival and the question of what humanity means under inhumane conditions.

Critics
The review praises the film as deeply moving and commends its unflinching, authentic remembrance of the Nazi doctors' crimes. Almost no faults are named; the scenes are simply called hard to bear.
