About
A public lecture at the Gedenkstätte Deutscher Widerstand (German Resistance Memorial Center) on how feature films have depicted aid to and rescue of persecuted Jews during the Shoah. Dr. Nicolas Moll analyses cinema and television films from Europe and the USA from the 1940s to today, with Steven Spielberg's "Schindler's List" from 1993 as a landmark in rising public interest. Uta Fröhlich of the Gedenkstätte Stille Helden gives the welcome and moderates, and a discussion follows the talk. The event is part of Berlin Freedom Week 2026; registration by email is requested by 10 November 2026.
