A special exhibition at the Hugenottenmuseum Berlin marks the 300th birthday of Daniel Chodowiecki (1726–1801), a celebrated draughtsman of the Enlightenment. Put on by the museum together with partners such as the Akademie der Künste Berlin and the Berlin heritage authority, it gathers original drawings, prints, historical books, medals and records from the archives of the French Church. It examines the artist's Huguenot family life, his commissions for the French Church community in Berlin and his designs for the monumental decoration of the Gendarmenmarkt. The show forms part of the international Chodowiecki300 anniversary year.
