Cooking Class: Chinese Soup Dumplings

A cooking class in English in which participants make Chinese soup dumplings completely from scratch – from the dough and the seasoned filling to several folding techniques and cooking methods such as boiling, steaming in bamboo baskets and pan-frying. The class is led by Candice Lam, who grew up in Hong Kong and moved to Berlin in 2025. She brings a little piece of Hong Kong's food culture to Berlin, sharing traditional flavours along with the stories and techniques behind the dishes. At the end the freshly cooked dumplings are enjoyed together, served with sides and a red dates pudding for dessert, and all recipes are handed out after the class.
