A musical-poetic program of text and music presents Transylvania, also called Siebenbürgen in German, a multiethnic region in the center of Romania. The text is by Georg Aescht, the music chosen by Angela Seiwerth and Hans G. Seiwerth; Ingeborg Szöllösi welcomes the audience. The region's multilingual songs and varied literature reflect its cultural diversity and eventful history. The »Land hinter den Wäldern« is presented in all its contrasts – in disharmony, euphony and melancholy. The guest event is organized by the German Cultural Forum for Eastern Europe at the Literaturforum im Brecht-Haus.
