About
„DDRdirekt“ is a reading and performance that brings back to life forgotten texts written by workers in the GDR. These poems, stories and prose pieces were created in workplace writing circles, dealing with work, everyday life, hopes, longings and political convictions. Behind the project are anna martha and Thomas Hartung, who searched the archive of writing workers for traces of these voices, with music by Christian Beckers. The event is part of the Berlin Freedom Week programme and admission is free.
