About
An evening of readings, music and performance devoted to the voice as literary expression, acoustic phenomenon and carrier of memory. Participants include Kerstin Hensel, Friedrich Dieckmann, Ulrich Peltzer and Kathrin Röggla, as well as Andy Ammer and the duo driftmachine. After an opening voice performance, a tour through three venues lets the voice be experienced anew as spoken language, historical recording, sound and bodily presence, with a „Séance Méchanique“ conjuring up voices of the past. The evening closes with an audioperformative live interpretation of sampled recordings of a Heiner Müller reading of Edgar Allan Poe, reassembled musically.
