About
"Der Holocaust – Was wussten die Deutschen?" is a special exhibition of the Stiftung Topographie des Terrors in Berlin. It asks which information about the Holocaust was accessible in the German Reich and what people who were neither directly involved in the crimes nor persecuted themselves perceived and did with their knowledge. Three parts structure the show: „Propaganda" on what the Nazi regime publicly announced about the persecution and murder of Jewish people, „Hinweise im Alltag" on rumours and unofficial reports of the mass killings, and „Vom Puzzleteil zum Bild" on how individuals combined information to form an overall picture.
